Definition:

Stray current corrosion refers to corrosion damage resulting from current flow other than in the intended circuit(s). For larger structures this term usually alludes to corrosion damage caused by extraneous current(s) flowing through soil and / or water.

Stray current refers to current flowing through paths other than the intended circuit(s).
