Unwilling and willing corrosion:

Warning: As you are casually surfing through this site, you too may be (very) unwillingly corroding ...

Kato® Fastening News, Volume 4, Issue 3 (May-June 2000) reported that metals, like people, inherently return back to their natural state; but in contrast to most people, metals do so willingly.

Editor's note - No.1:
Unfortunately, no author's name was associated with this article.

Editor's note - No.2:
Can we be 110% sure that metals do so willingly ... now that we know from corrosion monitoring, that they emit a lot of noise (electrochemical that is), when they are in the grip of (dare one say upset by) a serious corrosion process ?

Editor's note - No.3:
The potential philosophical debate surrounding the above question is probably "ahead of its time", at least in the corrosion monitoring world; and thus will probably not be pursued further on this site.
