| Mehta's Concrete Degradation Model: P.K. Mehta* developed a holistic model of concrete degradation. This model is not "mechanism specific", rather all of the fundamental degradation mechanisms are incorporated in it. The deterioration of the initial "ideal" watertight concrete condition to one where water can penetrate into a structure and cause several forms of damage is a key element.
