Mortar = cement paste + fine aggregate (sand)
Concrete = mortar + coarse aggegate (stone)
Additives (admixtures) can be included in concrete mixes for changing specific
properties/characteristics such as plasticity, setting time, freeze-thaw damage
resistance, strength, corrosion resistance of embedded reinforcing steel and durability.
